In response to Unstarred Question No. 2023 in Lok Sabha, answered on December 11th, 2025, regarding the construction of bypass roads, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, led by Minister Nitin Jairam Gadkari, provided the following information: In Khargone District, bypasses for the towns/cities of Kasrawad, Selani, Khargone, and Bistan are under construction. In Barwani District, bypasses for Sendhwa, Khetiya, Pansemal, and Niwali have been sanctioned. Based on traffic flow analysis, a bypass for Anjad town is not currently planned, as vehicular movement is primarily intra-town.

(a) the number of cities/ towns of Khargone district and Barwani district
of Khargone parliamentary constituency where bypasses are being
constructed;
(b) whether the Government is conducting any survey for the
construction of bypass (NH 347 B) in Anjad town of Barwani district; and
(c) the time by which the said construction work is likely to be started?

(a): In Khargone District, bypasses for 4 number of towns/cities namely
Kasrawad, Selani, Khargone and Bistan are in construction stage and 4
bypasses in Barwani District, namely Sendhwa, Khetiya, Pansemal and
Niwali has been sanctioned.
(b) & (c): As per the traffic flow, a substantial portion of vehicular
movement is intra-town in nature and primarily within the Anjad town
stretch, as such, bypass to Anjad town is not envisaged at this stage.
