SHRI RADHAKRISHNA: Will the Minister of Education be pleased to state (a) the details of funds allocated and utilized for construction of boys and girls hostels in Central University of Karnataka, especially in Kalaburagi during the last five years, year- wise; (b) whether the Government has received any proposal for allocation of fund from HEFA to construct such hostels in the above University; (c) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon; and (d) the steps taken by the Government to expedite approval of such proposals within a definite timeframe? ANSWER MINISTER OF EDUCATION IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (Dr. SUKANTA MAJUMDAR) (a) to (d): Central University of Karnataka has been allocated and utilised Rs. 54.00 crore for construction of boys’ and girls’ hostel in the last five years.
