CONSTRUCTION OF NH-34 STRETCH

Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS

be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware that the approval has been
granted for the construction of NH-34 from Gulganj–Hirapur Chauraha
to Damoh falling under Damoh Parliamentary Constituency (07);
(b) if so, whether a provision has been made to connect the Hata
Naka–Damoh through Bypass with Samanna Bypass on the Katni
Road and if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, whether the Government proposes to grant approval for the
construction of a Bypass/Ring Road keeping in view the need to
reduce traffic load on the city and to reduce the travel distance for
vehicles coming from Katni and going towards Chhatarpur and Panna
by about ten kilometer and if so, the details thereof?

(a): Yes Sir. The work of 4 laning of Gulganj-Hirapur section has
already been commenced. The present physical progress is about
60% and the scheduled date of completion is August 2026. The work
of 2 laning of Hirapur-Damoh section has also been sanctioned on
31.03.2025 with a completion period of 2 years from the appointed
date.
