(a) whether the Government has accorded approval for the
construction of a two-lane bridge and its approaches parallel to the
existing Feroke Old Bridge on the old NH-17 in Kozhikode district of
Kerala under the Setu Bandhan Scheme, if so, the details thereof;
(b) the timelines for various activities insisted by the Government
with regard to this project;
(c) whether the State Government has completed the required
procedures for the said project, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) whether the Government has noticed any delay on the part of
the State Government in this regard, if so, the details thereof and
the action taken thereon?

(a) to (d) The Government has approved the work of construction
of a two-lane bridge with approaches parallel to the existing Feroke
Old Bridge on Old NH-17 in Kozhikode District under the Setu
Bandhan Scheme of the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund
(CRIF). Subsequently, the Government of Kerala has issuedadministrative sanction on 12.06.2024 for an amount of ₹55.00
crore.
The implementation of project was delayed owing to the non-
availability of land, which belongs to the Railways for the
construction of the approach road on the Feroke side. The matter of
acquiring the land has been taken up by the State Government of
Kerala with the Railways.
