Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state: -
(a) whether Income Tax officers involved in corruption are still holding their
offices despite the fact that the Central Vigilance Commission has
recommended the termination of services of such officers;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which the Government proposes to terminate the services of such
corrupt officers?

a) In respect of Group ‘A’ officers the Central Vigilance Commission renders advice at
the time of issuance of the charge memorandum. The final decision as regards the
termination or imposition of any other penalty in accordance with the Central Civil
Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1965 is taken by the Disciplinary
Authority in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
