GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF POWER LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO.855 ANSWERED ON 23.7.2026 CSR PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY PSUS IN TAMIL NADU 855. SMT. KANIMOZHI KARUNANIDHI: Will the Minister of POWER be pleased to state: (a) the total number and details of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects undertaken by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) under the Ministry of Power in Tamil Nadu during the last five years along with their location, sector and nature of work; (b) the funds allocated, released and utilised for CSR projects by these PSUs in each State during the last five years, State-wise, year-wise and PSU-wise; (c) the timelines fixed for completion of major CSR projects in Tamil Nadu; and (d) whether any delays or cost overruns have been reported and if so, the details thereof? A N S W E R THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF POWER (SHRI SHRIPAD NAIK) (a) & (b) : The Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power undertake Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in accordance with the provisions of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, CSR policy of respective CPSE, Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) guidelines & amendments issued from time to time in this regard. The company wise details of CSR activities undertaken and funds spent are made available on the respective websites of CPSEs and Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ CSR Portal i.e. www.csr.gov.in, in compliance with disclosure requirements under the Companies Act, 2013 and the Rules made there under. (c) & (d): The timelines for completion of major CSR projects undertaken by CPSEs under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power are fixed by the respective CPSEs based on the nature, scope and execution requirements of each project and in accordance with extant rules/ policies/guidelines. No systemic delays or cost overruns have been reported in respect of CSR projects in Tamil Nadu. ***********
