Shri Ganesh Singh: Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state: (a) the major achievements and statistical data of tribal students admitted in schools of Madhya Pradesh decline of dropout rate and qualitative improvement of education in Satna district since 2014 to as on date; and (b) whether the Government is working on any long-term regional strategic plan to introduce local and community-specific educational schemes in semi-hilly and tribal dominated areas as laid down in the National Education Policy, 2020? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a) : The Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education has developed the Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+) system to record data on indicators of school education provided by all the States and Union Territories. As per UDISE+ 2023- 24, dropout rate of Schedule Tribe (ST) students for Madhya Pradesh for the year 2014-15 and 2023-24 is given below: Madhya Pradesh (ST) Primary Upper Primary Secondary 2014-15 11.9 15.7 34.5 2023-24 2.6 12.2 24.8 (b): The PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan 2024, conducted in December 2024 by the National Assessment Centre, PARAKH (NCERT), under the Ministry of Education, assessed baseline competency development in students of Grades 3, 6, and 9 as per the National Education Policy 2020. The Department of School Education and Literacy is implementing an integrated centrally sponsored scheme for School education- Samagra Shiksha. The scheme has now been aligned with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It aims to ensure that all children have access to quality education with an equitable and inclusive classroom environment which should take care of their diverse background, multilingual needs, different academic abilities and make them active participants in the learning process. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to States and UTs for undertaking various activities for reducing dropout rate, including opening/strengthening of new schools upto senior secondary level, construction of school buildings & additional classrooms, setting up, up-gradation and running of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, setting up of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, hostels under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN), under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan for unsaturated ST population, free uniforms, free textbooks, transport allowance and undertaking enrolment & retention drives. Further, special training for age-appropriate admission of out of school children and residential as well as non- residential training for older children, seasonal hostels / residential camps, special training centres at worksites, transport/ escort facility are also supported to bring out of school children to the formal schooling system. *****
