Will the Minister of PANCHAYATI RAJ be pleased to state:
(a) whether independent audits have been conducted regarding the quality of financial and planning data uploaded on e-Gram Swaraj;
(b) if so, the number of Panchayats where discrepancies were identified;
(c) whether social audit findings are integrated into digital records, if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether any automated validation mechanism has been introduced, if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the measures taken to improve reliability of Panchayat-level public data? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF PANCHAYATI RAJ (SHRI RAJIV RANJAN SINGH ALIAS LALAN SINGH)
(a) to (e) The Ministry launched eGramSwaraj Portal on 24th April 2020 as a comprehensive, end-to-end platform for Panchayati Raj Institutions functioning. The application integrates key processes such as planning, accounting, monitoring, and asset management on a single digital platform, along with online payment capabilities. It is also integrated with the Public Finance Management System to facilitate direct digital payments by Panchayats to vendors. There is no audit module in the eGramSwaraj Portal. However, to facilitate audit of Panchayat accounts, Ministry of Panchayati Raj launched AuditOnline on 15th April 2020, a dedicated application for conducting online audits of Panchayats accounts, thereby supporting auditors in carrying out their work more efficiently and transparently.
