Parliament Question: Dedicated cooperative milk federation in Nanded, Maharashtra

AJEET MADHAVRAO GOPCHADE: Will the Minister of FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING be pleased to state: (a) whether the Ministry, in coordination with Government of Maharashtra and other relevant stakeholders, has taken or proposes to take initiatives to establish a dedicated cooperative milk federation in Nanded district of Maharashtra, in view of the district’s substantial dairy potential and large base of marginal milk producers; and (b) whether any feasibility study or indicative timeline has been prepared in this regard? As informed by the Government of Maharashtra, no proposal has been received for the registration of a District Cooperative Milk Federation in Nanded. ******
