Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details regarding the list of voluntary organizations funded and total amount of funds
sanctioned and released under Deen Dayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme during the last five
years;
(b) the details of the list of projects sanctioned under Deen Dayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme
along with the total cost of projects, funds sanctioned, released and utilised during the last five
years, year and State-wise;
(c) the details regarding the completion status and physical progress achieved along with the
implementing organization of these sanctioned projects; and
(d) the details regarding the number of beneficiaries of the projects sanctioned under Deen Dayal
Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme during the last five years, State-wise?

(a) to (d): Details regarding Voluntary Organizations (VOs), grants-in-aid released, no. of
beneficiaries, State wise during the last five years is placed at Annexure.
The Deendayal Divyangjan Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS) aims to create an enabling and
inclusive environment that ensures equal opportunities, equity, social justice and empowerment of
persons with disabilities.
Under the Scheme, financial assistance is provided to voluntary organizations to deliver a
range of rehabilitation services, including early intervention, development of daily living skills,
education, and training.
Grants-in-Aid are released to Implementing Agencies (PIAs) to meet essential expenditures
such as honorarium, conveyance, hostel maintenance, stipend and other operational costs. DDRS is
an ongoing service delivery system.
