Parliament Question: Delay in Completion of Projects on NHs in Rajasthan

SHRI HANUMAN BENIWAL: Will the MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is aware of the fact that several projects concerning the widening, four-laning, six-laning and construction of bypasses on various National Highways in Rajasthan have not been completed within the stipulated timeframe resulting in disruption in traffic flow and complaints regarding increase in road accidents; (b) if so, the details of the National Highway projects currently under construction or delayed in Rajasthan, Project-wise including their names, sanctioned cost, scheduled completion date, current progress and the reasons for delay; (c) whether the Government is formulating any special action plan to expedite the time-bound completion of these pending projects and to enhance the availability of trauma centres, ambulances, cranes, emergency medical aid and firefighting facilities on National Highways in Rajasthan particularly on the Nagaur-Jodhpur, Bikaner-Nagaur, Nagaur-Salasar and Nagaur- Ajmer National Highways; and (d) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI)(a) to (b) The details of all National Highway projects currently under construction in Rajasthan are annexed. (c) to (d) Progress of projects is continuously monitored through advanced digital platforms such as Project Monitoring Information System (PMIS) and Data Lake, Bhoomi Rashi portal (for Land Acquisition). In addition, periodic reviews are held at various levels with all stakeholders including officers of executing agencies to resolve pending contractual issues and ensure timely implementation of projects. Ajmer-Nagaur section & Nagaur-Salasar section of NH-58, Nagpur-Jodhpur section and Nagaur-Bikaner section of NH-62 are currently under Operation & Maintenance stage and 2 number of Cranes and 2 number of Ambulances are deployed on each of these sections.
