Delay of CBSE Results
2410. Shri Pradeep Purohit:
Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware that CBSE Class 10 and 12 results of
students who appeared at some of the Centres of Bargarh (Odisha) are still
pending and marked as ‘Result Later’;
(b) if so, the reasons for the delay in publishing results for those centres;
(c) whether CBSE completed requisite internal verification or process of
administrative enquiry in this regard;
(d) if so, the details thereof;
(e) the total number of affected students whose career progressive impacted due to
such delay in result;
(f) the measures being taken by the Government to reduce their academic stress;
(g) whether the Government issued any urgent instructions for early resolution to
avoid delays in college admissions; and
(h) if so, the details thereof along with timeline by which the CBSE declare the
pending results of those affected students?

(a) to (h): With regard to Result of students of Class 10 and 12 conducted by Central
Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) reports were received from Chief Nodal
Supervisors of the evaluation centres regarding use of mass copying by the candidates
who appeared at two (02) examination centres located at Bargarh (Odisha) viz.
Padampur Public School, P.O. Padampur, Bargarh and Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya,Bandupali, Bargarh. A detailed enquiry into the matter was conducted. Subsequently,
the report was considered by the unfair means committee of the board and the
recommendations of the committee were accepted by the board.
The results of total 1185 candidates who appeared at these 02 examination centres
were initially placed under ‘Result Later’ category when the results of the Board
Examinations for Class X and XII were declared on 13.05.2025. Results of concerned
subjects of 885 students involved in copying (369 Class X and 516 Class XII) were
cancelled. Consequently, students eligible for compartmental and other relief could
appear in the compartmental examinations. The rest of the 300 (239 Class X and 61
Class XII) students have been exonerated. The final results of the 1185 students were
declared on 26.05.2025 after completion of due enquiry. Academic staff of the schools
concerned were put under disciplinary action.
