In response to Unstarred Question No. 764, answered on December 4, 2025, regarding the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways provided the following information:
The DND-Faridabad-Sohna NH-148NA, Delhi spur of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, totaling 59.063 km, is being developed in three construction packages. Packages II and III are completed and open to traffic. Package-I, from DND junction to Jaitpur (9 km), is 94.23% complete and scheduled for completion by June 2026.
The delay in Package-I is due to delays in approval of General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) from the Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department for crossing the Agra-Canal.
Entry and exit points have been constructed per the Concession Agreement of Package II.
The total expenditure incurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project to date is ₹71,718 crore.

(a) the time by which the remaining construction of stretch work
of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway from DND to Meethapur is likely to
be commenced;
(b) the reasons for the delay in operationalizing this eight kms
stretch of the above expressway;
(c) whether the provision for an exit point near Shivpuri at
Meethapur Chowk which existed in the year 2023, is being arranged
so that lakhs of people may benefit, if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the total expenditure incurred on the Delhi-Mumbai
Expressway project?

(a) & (b) The DND-Faridabad-Sohna NH-148NA, Delhi spur of Delhi-
Mumbai Expressway having total length of 59.063 km is beingdeveloped in 3 no. of construction packages, out of which Package-
II & Package-III have been completed and same have been open to
the traffic. The Project package-I from DND junction to Jaitpur
having 9 km length is in advance stage of construction with
Physical progress of 94.23% and scheduled to be completed by
June-2026.
The Package-I is delayed due to delay in approval of General
Arrangement Drawings (GAD) of structure from Irrigation
Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh for crossing of
Agra-Canal.
(c) The entry and exit points have been constructed in
accordance with provisions of Concession Agreement of Package -
II.
(d) An expenditure of ₹ 71,718 crore has been incurred till the
date on the entire Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project.
