Dependency of Students on Coaching Institutes

Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has constituted a panel to suggest measures to reduce dependency of
students on Coaching Centres for assessing the effectiveness and fairness of competitive entrance
examinations;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the said panel has been assigned the task to conduct and assess various other aspects
such as career counselling services in Schools and Colleges etc; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the timeline to submit the report?

(a) to (d): The government has constituted a committee on 17.06.2025 to discuss issues relating to
coaching and work towards reducing the dependency of students on coaching. The committee is,
inter-alia, to suggest measures to reduce dependency of students on Coaching Centers for transition
to Higher Education, to assess the availability & effectiveness of career counselling services in
schools and colleges, and to suggest measures for strengthening career guidance frameworks. The
