Parliament Question: Details of Cases in SFIO

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO-3749 ANSWERED ON MONDAY THE 16TH MARCH, 2026/ PHALGUNA 25, 1947 (SAKA) DETAILS OF CASES IN SFIO 3749. SHRI KARAN BHUSHAN SINGH: Will the Minister of Corporate Affairs be pleased to state:- (a) the details of cases assigned to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), reports submitted and cases pending during the last five years, year-wise, State-wise and District-wise, particularly for the State of Uttar Pradesh; (b) the number of cases successfully prosecuted by the SFIO as on 1st January, 2026 and the status of such prosecutions; and (c) the details of penalties imposed, fines recovered and convictions secured on the basis of SFIO investigations as on 1st January, 2026? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS [SHRI HARSH MALHOTRA] (a): The year-wise and State-wise details of cases including Uttar Pradesh, assigned to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) from FY 2020–21 to 2024-25 is at Annexure-‘A’. The details of the reports submitted by SFIO and the cases pending during the last five years are at Annexure-B and C respectively.
