SHRI ATUL GARG: Will the Minister of COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY be pleased to state: वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री (a) whether the Government has achieved significant progress in developing industrial corridors and nodes in Uttar Pradesh; (b) if so, the details thereof and the Central financial allocations utilized for developing core industrial infrastructure, power supply and road connectivity in the State during the period 2025-26; (c) whether this strategic industrial initiative has successfully attracted substantial private sector investments into the State's manufacturing and electronics sectors; (d) the estimated number of direct and indirect employment opportunities generated for the local youth due to the operationalization of new manufacturing units in the State; and (e) the measures proposed to be taken by the Government to streamline statutory environmental and industrial clearances to further improve the ease of doing business for new investors in Uttar Pradesh in future? ANSWER वाणिज्य एव ं उद्योग मत्रं ी (श्री पीयषू गोयल) THE MINISTER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY (SHRI PIYUSH GOYAL) (a) to (e): A Statement is laid on the Table of the House. *******STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY OF PARTS (a) to (e) OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 129 FOR ANSWER ON 28.07.2026 REGARDING DEVELOPMENT OF INDUSTRIAL CORRIDORS IN UTTAR PRADESH. (a) to (d): Government of India has approved the development of one Industrial township, two Integrated Manufacturing Clusters, one Multi Modal Logistics Hub and one Multi Modal Transport Hub in the State of Uttar Pradesh. IMC Prayagraj in Aug 2024 351 ₹ 658 Cr EPC contractor Uttar Pradesh, appointed for (under AKIC) implementation of internal trunk infrastructure works. 4 industrial plots allotted to investors. 3. IMC Agra in Uttar Aug 2024 1058 ₹ 1,812 Cr Matter awaiting Pradesh, (under clearance from the AKIC) Supreme Court on account of falling under the Taj Trapezium Zone (TTZ). 4. MMLH, Dadri Dec 2020 825 ₹ 2,337 Cr Project to be executed on PPP basis. Tender re-floated for appointment of concessionaire in July 2026. 5. MMTH, Boraki Dec 2020 358 ₹ 1,570 Cr Master plan and cost estimates for internal infrastructure for EPC works is under preparation. As per the approved institutional & financial structure of Industrial Corridor Programme, State Government provides land and GoI provides the equity for development of internal trunk infrastructure components through the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT). Rs. 1795.84 Crore fund has been released by NICDIT for industrial corridors projects in UP as per details below: Sl. Project Funds Released (₹ Cr.) — Equity No. 1 IIT-GN, Greater Noida 617.20 2 MMLH (Dadri) & MMTH (Boraki) 853.05 3 IMC, Prayagraj 323.09 4 IMC, Agra 2.50During the financial year 2025–26, an amount of ₹323.09 crore was released by NICDIT for the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC), Prayagraj project in Uttar Pradesh. Government of Uttar Pradesh has reported the development of 27 Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters, Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor and an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster in the state, that have brought in more than 100 domestic and global companies across sectors including electronics components, consumer appliances, power systems. Government of Uttar Pradesh has reported 33,068 registered factories that collectively employ approximately 38.09 lakh workforce, including over 2.09 lakh women employees. Additionally, the State's over 90 lakh MSMEs have generated employment for more than 1.18 crore people. (e): Government has taken several initiatives for streamlining statutory environmental and industrial clearances to improve the ease of doing business including:  Provision of Single Window System clearance facility to investors by the SPVs in Industrial nodes for faster clearances and convenience to industries.  Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change reported that the regulatory provisions under EIA Notification 2006 have been amended for projects falling under industrial estates/ parks/ complexes/ areas etc providing facilitations including: i. Exemption from public consultation to projects located within approved industrial estates/parks except in specified cases. ii. Allowance to individual units within industrial estates/complexes having prior environmental clearance for homogeneous or pre-defined activities to operate without obtaining separate environmental clearance, subject to certain criteria.  The Government of Uttar Pradesh has reported measures including Nivesh Mitra 3.0, end to end online processing of approvals, integration with key State and Central platforms, simplification of environmental approvals, digitization and simplification of land-use and building approvals and risk-based inspections, self-certification and compliance rationalization, to further streamline statutory, environmental and industrial clearances. *******
