SHRI SHREYAS M PATEL: Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has implemented any special schemes for the welfare and socio- economic development of Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities in Hassan district of Karnataka during the last three years, if so, the details thereof; (b) the details of Union Government schemes being implemented in the Scheduled Tribe- dominated areas of Hassan district for education, healthcare, drinking water, housing, road connectivity, livelihood generation, skill development and digital infrastructure; (c) the funds sanctioned, released and utilised by the Union Government for the welfare and development of Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities in Hassan district during the last three years, scheme-wise and year-wise; (d) whether the Government proposes to provide special financial assistance for the overall development of Scheduled Tribe habitations and villages in Hassan district including infrastructure, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and livelihood opportunities; and (e) if so, the details and the timeline thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR TRIBAL AFFAIRS (SHRI DURGADAS UIKEY) (a): Hon'ble PM launched Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) on 2nd October, 2024. The Abhiyan comprises of 25 interventions implemented by 17 line Ministries and aims to saturate infrastructural gaps in 63,843 villages, improve access to health, education, Anganwadi facilities and providing livelihood opportunities benefiting more than 5 crore tribals in 549 districts and 2,911 blocks in 30 States/UTs including Hassan District, Karnataka. There are 6 villages from 4 blocks have been included under DAJGUA village list for socio-economic development.
