\\’ill the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution be pleased to
state

(a): whether ration cards and beneficiaries are covered under the National Food SecuritY
Act in Odisha. if so, the total number thereof:
( b-) : u/’hctller Aadhaar seeding of ration cards has bcelr conlpletec} in the State. if so. the
status thereof;
(c): whether duplicate or ineligible ration cards ha\'e been identified and deleted during the
last three )'I:drs. if so, the number thereof: and
(d): \\’hether Fair Price Shops in Odisha have been autonrated with e-PoS devices and the
present status thereof?

(a): The National Food Security Act, 2013 provides for coverage of 82.17% of the rural and
55.77% of the urban population of the State of Odisha, for receiving free of cost foodgl'ains,
which at Census 2011 comes to 326.21 lakh persons. At present, the State Government of Odisha
has identified 325.17 lakh beneficiaries for receiving free of cost foodgrains under NFSA.
(b): As on 05.03.2026, approx. 99.8% of the ration card have been Aadhaar Seeded in the State
of Odisha.
(c): The number of duplicate or ineligible ration cards that have been deleted during last three
years in the State ofOdisha are as follows:
