GIRIRAJAN: DR. KANIMOZHI NVN SOMU: Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that the union Government's claim that under the Mudra Loan Scheme, ₹29.76 Lakh Crores were disbursed to 49.5 crore Mudra loan accounts in the country and ₹3 Lakh Crores to 5.6 crores Mudra accounts in Tamil Nadu, if so, whether the Union Government and Banks have validated the said figures; and (b) the actual data and statistics of total funds disbursed and the Mudra Loan accounts in the country, State-wise and District-wise in Tamil Nadu? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (SHRI PANKAJ CHAUDHARY) (a) and (b): As on 2nd January, 2026, more than 56.31 crore mudra loan accounts, amounting to Rs.37.31 lakh crore have been disbursed, under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), since launch of the Scheme. The data is being uploaded by Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) on the Mudra portal, maintained by Mudra Ltd. Similarly, more than 6.16 crore mudra loan accounts, amounting to Rs.3.66 lakh crore have been disbursed under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) in the state of Tamil Nadu as on 2nd January, 2026.
