MS. MAIIUA MOITRA: WilI the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AI\D EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether it is tue that the disbursal of the National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC) has been irregular, if so, the reasons thereof; ft) the details of the budget allocated and utilised towards the Fellowship since inception and the number ofbeneficiaries, State and year wise; (c) the details number of beneficiaries whose payments have been delayed since January 2025, State and university-wise; (d) whether any scholars who have availed the NBFOC have discontinued their research work without completioq if so, the number of such scholars, since inception of the scheme and the reasons thereof State and year-wise; and (e) whether it is tue that the quarterly disbursal of frrnds by the Ministry instead of monthly disbursements has led to the delay in fellowship disbursal, ifso, the details thereof? AI\SWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (sHRr B.L.VERMA) (a) & O): The disbursal of the National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC) is carried out as per budget allocated. The allocation and utilization towards the Fellowship since inception year wise are at Annexure I. State wise number of beneficiaries and fund disbursed are at Annexure II. (c): The fellowstrips up to Septembet 2025 has already been disbursed to all eligible scholars. (d): The details of such scholars who have availed the fellowships under the NFOBC scheme but have discontinued their research work without completion, state-wise and year wise is attached at Annexure III.
