ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE
कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण रा(cid:207)य म(cid:287)ं ी (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR)
(a): National Horticulture Mission (NHM) under the Mission for Integrated Development
of Horticulture (MIDH) is being implemented by Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare
since 2014 for the holistic development of horticulture in the country. Pursuant to the
revision of the Operational Guidelines of MIDH in 2025, all districts of Rajasthan are
covered under the Mission.
(b) to (d): Prior to the revision of the Operational Guidelines of MIDH in 2025, National
Horticulture Mission (NHM) was implemented in selected districts identified on the basis of
comparative advantage of horticulture crops, agro-climatic suitability and potential for
development of marketing linkages. Since the launch of MIDH in 2014-15, the Government
received representations from various States seeking inclusion of additional districts under
the Mission. Taking into account the implementation experience of the Mission and the
representations received from the States, the Operational Guidelines of MIDH were revised
in 2025, extending the coverage of the Mission to all districts in all States and Union
Territories. Accordingly, all districts are now eligible for assistance under the Mission in
accordance with the Operational Guidelines.
