(a) & (b) : No, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is a statutory body
incorporated under the DVC Act, 1948 and their functions are enumerated in
Section-12 of the Act which includes the promotion and operation of the
schemes for the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy.
There is no such proposal for un-bundling of the generation, transmission and
distribution into three entities under consideration of this Ministry.
