Parliament Question: Domestic Production of Fertilizers

SHRI BRIJENDRA SINGH OLA: Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state: (a) whether domestic fertilizer production reflects any deficit as compared to the estimated demand during the last three years; (b) if so, the year-wise details thereof; (c) the extent to which there has been a dependency on Import to meet such deficit, fertilizer-wise; (d) whether the timely availability of fertilizers was affected in Rajasthan during peak sowing seasons, if so, the details thereof; (e) whether the provisions made in the Union Budget for the revival of closed fertilizer units/expansion of domestic production capacity are aimed to mitigate supply risks; and (f) if so, the details thereof?
