Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state:
(a) the details of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure provided by the Oil Marketing
Companies (OMCs) at retail outlets since 2014 particularly in the State of Rajasthan, year-
wise;
(b) the future plans of OMCs for expansion of the EV charging network at retail outlets;
(c) whether the Government is formulating a policy to regulate the tariff of EV charging
stations;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) The year wise details of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) installed by Public
Sector Oil Marketing Companies (PSU OMCs) in Rajasthan and across the country since
2014, is attached at Annexure.
(b) OMCs have informed that setting up of EVCS at Retail Outlets (ROs) is a continuous
process based on techno commercial feasibility.
(c) to (e) To encourage EV Charging during solar hours and discourage it during peak hours, the
Ministry of Power has issued “Guidelines for Installation and Operation of Electric Vehicle
Charging Infrastructure-2024” in September, 2024, suggesting a single part tariff capped at
Average Cost of Supply (ACoS) till 31st March, 2028, with a 30% discount during solar
hours and a 30% surcharge during non- solar hours.
