(a) the details of the current minimum salary limit for enrolment under

(b) whether the Government proposes to enroll ASHA, Anganwadi and
Mid-Day Meal workers under the Employees' Provident Fund;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d): As per provision of the EPF Scheme, 1952, all employees
of the establishment registered with EPFO, drawing wage up to Rs.
15,000/- are mandatorily required to be covered and this Scheme only
applies to the employees of the organized sector.
ASHAs are community health volunteers. They receive
fixed incentive for routine and recurring activities on monthly basis.
In addition, they are provided performance-based incentives for
various activities under National Health Programs. States/ UTs are
also providing additional State-specific incentives over and above
those approved by the Government of India.
In addition, ASHAs across the States/UTs have been
enrolled in various Social Security Schemes, including Pradhan
Mantri Shram Yogi Maan Dhan (PM-SYM), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan
Jyoti Beema Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema
Yojana (PMSBY) as per the eligibility norms. ASHAs along with their
family members are also provided with health care annual coverage
of ₹ 5 Lakhs under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya
Yojana (ABPMJAY).
The primary responsibility of strengthening public
healthcare system, including support for ASHA workers lies with the
respective State/UT Governments. The Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare provides technical and financial support to the States/UTs to
strengthen their public healthcare system, based on their Programme
Implementation Plans (PIPs) and within the overall resource
allocation.
Under Mission Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0,
Anganwadi Worker (AWW) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWH) are
honorary workers from the local community. The AWWs and AWHs
are provided a monthly honorarium for rendering their services on
part-time basis. Many State Governments are also providing
additional top up to the existing honorarium. AWWs and AWHs, along
with their family members are also provided with health care annual
coverage of ₹ 5 Lakhs under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan
Arogya Yojana (ABPMJAY).Under PM Poshan Scheme, Cook-cum-Helpers (CCH) are
honorary workers. They receive honorarium for providing various
services. Several states supplement this amount with additional
funds from their budget.
