Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to
state:
(a)whether the Government proposes/has any proposal to provide
Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) services through
authorised/licenced agents and if so, the details thereof;
(b)the rationale behind engaging agents and the nature of services
proposed to be delivered through them;
(c)the time by which the said services are likely to be implemented;
(d)whether the Government has set any criteria for selection,
accreditation and regulation of such agents and if so, the details
thereof;
(e)the details of safeguards put in place to prevent mis-selling,
overcharging, data misuse and harassment of subscribers
particularly pensioners and workers in the unorganised and
informal sectors; and
(f) the details of the steps taken/likely to be taken by the Government
to ensure transparency, accountability and protection of
subscribers’ interests while expanding EPFO service delivery
through agents?
