Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the proposal to establish a premier research Institute for Yoga and Naturopathy
in the country, State/UT-wise, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan
including the estimated cost, the Institutional set up and the Administrative framework;
(b) whether the Governments of the said States has been requested to allocate land for setting up
of the said Institutes and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the current status of land allocation and related administrative approvals and the proposed
number of undergraduate and postgraduate seats in the first phase; and
(d) the expected outcomes of this initiative with respect to expanding higher education
opportunities, enhancing research capacity and improving public access to Yoga and
Naturopathy healthcare services in the country, State/UT-wise?

(a), (b) & (c) The Ministry of Ayush has planned to establish Central Research Institutes in Yoga
& Naturopathy (CRIYN) with 100 bedded hospitals of Yoga & Naturopathy in the following
states:

5. Odisha 9473.28 The Government of Odisha had allotted 20 acres cost
free land at Kisam Patiala, Tahsil Jatani, Mauza
Binjhagiri, Odisha. However, due to NGT case and
FCA of land, further process is on hold due to non-
clearance. Alternate land for establishment of CRIYN
is being arranged by the State Government of Odisha.
The Government of Rajasthan had offered 15 acres premium free land for establishment
of CRIYN including 100 bedded hospital of Yoga & Naturopathy, however, the Government of
Rajasthan has not transferred the land. As of now, there is no proposal in the Ministry of Ayush
for establishment of a premier research Institute for Yoga and Naturopathy in Uttar Pradesh.
The proposed CRIYNs function under the administrative control of Central Council for
Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Ayush.
At present no proposal is under consideration in the Ministry for undergraduate/post
graduate courses in the proposed CRIYNs.
(d) The following outcomes are envisaged out of this initiative:
Advancing Research projects related to Yoga & Naturopathy.
Improvement in OPD and IPD treatment facilities related to Yoga and Naturopathy
healthcare services for general public.
