Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Malaviya Mission Teachers Training Centres (MMTTCs) established across the country State-wise including West Bengal, Bihar, Mewar area of Rajasthan and Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka along with the major categories of programmes being conducted under the scheme;
(b) whether the scheme includes specific components for promotion of Indian Knowledge Systems, entrepreneurship, mental health and wellbeing, and inclusivity for socio-economically disadvantaged groups in the country;
(c) if so, the details of such components including its outline, objectives and expected outcomes thereof;
(d) the targets achieved from the scheme in terms of the number of teachers trained, enhancement of teaching quality, and transformation of higher education institutions into hubs of innovation and academic excellence, State-wise including Karnataka and Rajasthan;(e) whether the Higher Education Institutions and teachers of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh have also received training or other benefits under the scheme, if so, the details thereof; and
(f) whether the said scheme has been implemented in Sidhi Parliamentary Constituency; and
(g) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (DR. SUKANTA MAJUMDAR)
(a) to (c): 151 Malaviya Mission Teachers Training Centres (MMTTCs) have been identified throughout the country since re-launch of the Malaviya Mission Teachers Training Programme
(MMTTP) on 05.09.2023 including 5 MMTTCs in West Bengal, Bihar and Rajasthan each and 7 MMTTCs in Karnataka. The scheme aims to train the faculty of higher education across the country where any faculty from India can participate in programs of scheme through established MMTTCs.
The ministry has time to time advised state governments to direct their higher education institutions to leverage the capacity building programs under the scheme.
Under the scheme, the faculty of higher education is trained through various components like NEP Orientation and Sensitization; Short Term Program including Indian Knowledge System; Refresher Course; Faculty Induction Program; Nurturing Future Leadership Program; Academic Leadership Program; Capacity Building Program on Specific Learning Disabilities; Capacity Building Program on Design and Entrepreneurship; Capacity Building Program for Promoting Positive Mental Health, Resilience and Wellbeing in HEIs; Capacity Building Program on Science Communication;
Administrative Staff Training; STEM, Capacity Building Program on Artificial Intelligence; Gurusetu;
Teacher Connect Program and Capacity Building Program on Cyber Security. The details of these components including outline, objective and expected outcomes are available in the Guidelines at

(d) to (g): Since the re-launch of the scheme, more than 3.22 lakh faculty of higher education institutions have benefitted through different components under the scheme. The number of faculty trained under the scheme is available on MMTTP Portal at
https://mmc.ugc.ac.in/Document/Notification/Latest_20251118165536.pdf District wise and Parliamentary Constituency wise data of the participating faculty are not maintained.
In the State of Madhya Pradesh in 7 Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centres (MMTTCs) 21258 faculty have been trained. However, faculty from any part of the country may attend the training in any of the established MMTTCs.
