Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has any active plans to establish a National Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine in Kerala; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a) & (b) There is no proposal under consideration to establish a National Institute of Ayurvedic medicine in the State of Kerala. However, Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), headquartered in New Delhi, comprises a network of 30 Institutes across various regions of India, including the National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma at Cheruthuruthy and Regional Ayurveda Research Institute at Thiruvananthapuram, both Institutes located in the State of Kerala.
