Will the Minister of HEALTHANDFAMILYWELFAREbe pleasedtostate:
(a) whether the Scheme for supporting States inestablishing five Regional Medical Hubs, asannounced
in the Union Budget 2026–27 to strengthen India's healthcare ecosystem and promote medical value
travel,hasbeennotified;
(b) if so, the details thereof including the guidelines and eligibility criteria for selection of States and if
not,the expectedtimeline for itsnotification;
(c) whether the Government has received any proposal from the State Government of Karnataka for
establishing one of the Regional Medical Hubs inthe State, if so, the details thereofincludingits present
status; and
(d) the criteria and timeline fixed for the selection of States for establishing the five Regional Medical
Hubs alongwith the expectedtimeline for operationalisingthe selectedhubs?

(a) to (d): The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has undertaken
extensive stakeholder consultations, including through a post-Budget webinar with domain experts,
concerned Ministries and Departments, healthcare institutions, industry associations, representatives of
the hospitality sector, multilateral organisations and other stakeholders. The implementation framework
is currently under consideration and no formal proposals have been invited from State Governments so
far.
