SHRI KONDA VISHWESHWAR REDDY: पे(cid:7069)ोिलयम और (cid:7079)ाकृितक गसै मं(cid:7074)ी Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state: (a) the current status of City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects in Telangana, district-wise; (b) the details of domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations and industrial/commercial consumers covered under the CGD network in the State; (c) whether the Government proposes to expand the CGD network to the uncovered districts and rural areas of Telangana; and (d) if so, the details thereof including the funds allocated, targets and the timeline fixed for achieving State-wide CGD coverage? ANSWER पेट(cid:332)ोिलयम और (cid:366)ाकृ ितक गैस मं(cid:361)ालय म(cid:336) रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी ((cid:373)ी सुरेश गोपी) MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS (SHRI SURESH GOPI) (a) to (d) Providing Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connections and establishment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations is part of the development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) Network, which inter alia include creation of pipeline infrastructure and other facilities for the supply of PNG to domestic, commercial and industrial units and CNG to transport sector which is being carried out by the entities authorized by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) as per Minimum Work Program (MWP) and techno-commercial feasibility. PNGRB has authorized 9 Geographical Areas (GAs) in the state of Telangana (including one GA spread over Telangana and Karnataka) covering entire state of Telangana (including rural areas) for development of CGD Network. As per MWP targets, authorised entities have to provide approximately 37,62,401 PNG domestic connections, set up 812 CNG Stations and lay 20,504 Inch-Km pipeline infrastructure by 2032 in the State of Telangana. As on 31.05.2026, the authorized CGD entities have provided 2,64,701 PNG domestic connections, 243 PNG commercial connections, 219 PNG industrial connections and established 246 CNG Stations in the state of Telangana. The investment is made by authorised entity in accordance with the authorization by PNGRB and approved work programme.
