**Summary:**
This document summarizes the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation's response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 3212, concerning the proposed expansion of Jalgaon Airport in Maharashtra, as of August 7, 2025. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) owns and operates Jalgaon Airport. AAI has prepared a proposal to expand the existing terminal building from 700 sqm to approximately 1500 sqm. This expansion aims to accommodate 150 arriving and 150 departing passengers during peak hours. The proposal includes allied facilities such as a lounge, child care room, canopies on the city and air sides, and car parking. The current 1700-meter runway is suitable for ATR72 aircraft operations. Runway extensions and other infrastructure upgrades are contingent upon factors including passenger demand forecasts, operational needs, airline demand, land availability, and financial viability, as determined by AAI and other airport operators. The government acknowledges the need to boost regional air connectivity and tourism.
