Parliament Question: Expenditure incurred on Tree Plantation in Rajasthan

SHRI AMRA RAM: Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE be pleased to state: (a) the details of total number of trees planted by the Forest Department and other departments in Rajasthan during the last year, and the number of trees surviving after one year, district-wise; and (b) the details of the expenditure incurred by the Forest Department and Gram Panchayats on the plantation of trees/saplings and their maintenance, district-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE (SHRI KIRTI VARDHAN SINGH) (a) & (b): As per the information furnished by the Government of Rajasthan the details of the plantations carried out by the Forest departments and other departments/agencies in Rajasthan during 2025-2026, along with the survival details for the State are placed as Annexure I. The expenditure incurred by the Forest Department on plantation of trees/saplings and their maintenance during 2025-26 is Rs 127.78 Crores *****Annexure-I Annexure referred to in reply of the Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 1295 regarding ‘Expenditure incurred on Tree Plantation in Rajasthan’raised by Shri Amra Ram due for reply on 27.07.2026.
