ANSWER okf.kT; ,o a m|ksx ea=ky; es a jkT;ea=h ¼Jh ftfru izlkn½ THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (SHRI JITIN PRASADA) (a) & (b) The detailed policy regarding the export of onions is laid down in Chapter 07 of Scheduled-II(Export Policy) of ITC(HS), and is available on the portal of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) at https://www.dgft.gov.in/CP/index.jsp?opt=itchs- import-export. The extant export policy of onions is ‘Free’. (c) & (d) The underlying objective of the Government’s policy interventions is to ensure fair and remunerative price to farmers while maintaining domestic availability at reasonable prices for consumers. These interventions safeguard farmers’ interests by mitigating the risk of distress sales and supporting better price realisation. ***** 1
