Over the past three years and the current year (until July 1, 2025), ONGC has acquired 2,936.36 Line Kilometers (LKM) of 2D seismic data and 33,170.80 Square Kilometers (SKM) of 3D seismic data. The company has drilled 297 exploratory wells, establishing approximately 185.87 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) of 2P (Proven and Probable) Oil Initially In-Place (OIIP) reserves.
In Andhra Pradesh, as of July 1, 2025, ONGC has drilled 524 exploratory wells, with 227 proven to be hydrocarbon-bearing, leading to 94 new discoveries (72 prospects and 22 pools). As of April 1, 2025, the total established 2P In-place volume in Andhra Pradesh is 72.62 MMT.

(a) whether the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has explored crude oil
reserves during the last three years and the current year;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the estimated quantum of various varieties of oil
available in these reserves;
(c) whether any such reserves have been found in the State of Andhra Pradesh and if
so, the details thereof;
(d) the number of oil reserves from where oil is being extracted by ONGC along with the
quantum of oil available in these reserves; and
(e) the quantum of oil being extracted by ONGC from these reserves annually?

(a) & (b) As a part of exploration activity during the last three years and the current year

a total 72.62 MMT (2P) In-place volume in the state of Andhra Pradesh.(d) The details of available Oil & Condensate reserves (2P in MMT) in ONGC operated
acreages spread across various states and offshore areas (Both East Coast and West
Coast) as on 01.04.2025 are given below:

Presently oil is being extracted by ONGC from reserves in the States of Assam,
