MAHUA MOITRA: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) operates the feeder bus service from Terminal-1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi to the Delhi Aerocity Metro Station or whether this service has been contracted to a third party or contracted out and if so, the details thereof; (b) the details of such contracts including the number of contract renewals; (c) the details of the schedule and timings of the said service; (d) the number of drivers engaged to operate the bus service along with details of their working hours and shifts; (e) whether these buses are air-conditioned and equipped with safety features and if so, the details thereof; (f) whether the Government is aware of the poor condition of these buses, if so, the details thereof and the number of complaints received in this regard along with the action taken thereon; and (g) whether the Government has conducted checks on the roadworthiness of these buses, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? (h) ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) to (g): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) operates the air-conditioned feeder bus services from Terminal-1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi to the Delhi Aerocity Metro Station. DMRC has contracted out this work through Letter of Acceptance (LoA) dated 31.07.2013 to a service provider, which was further extended vide letter dated 19.12.2023. The buses are operated from 07:00 Hrs to 22:00 Hrs with a frequency of 15 minutes. DMRC has informed that during last 6 months, few complaints have been received on condition of buses, working of AC, etc. and the same got attended by the Contractor and as on date, no complaint is pending. DMRC has further informed that services are monitored by them. Further, the Certificate of Fitness has been issued for all operational feeder buses by Transport Department, GNCTD. *****
