Parliament Question: Functioning of EMRSs in Maharashtra

Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) the number of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) sanctioned, under-construction, and operational in the State of Maharashtra, district-wise;

(b) whether the Government is considering the establishment of a new Eklavya Model Residential School in the tribal-dominated areas of Thane district/Bhiwandi Parliamentary Constituency and if so, the details thereof;

(c) the total quantum of funds sanctioned, released and spent for Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Maharashtra during the last five years, along with the details thereof, district-wise; and

(a) Total number of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) sanctioned, under-construction, and operational in the State of Maharashtra, district-wise is as under:

(b) One Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) has been approved in Shahapur block of Thane district which is functional. No further proposal is in consideration in the Ministry.
