Fund allocations for content creation labs
2116 Shri Javed Ali Khan:
Will the Minister of Education be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government has allocated ₹250 crores only for creation of content creation labs
in 15,000 secondary schools and 500 colleges in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise;
(c) whether faculty/teachers for such labs are available in these schools; and
(d) if so, the details thereof, State-wise?

(a) to (d): As per the inputs provided by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the
scheme is currently at the formulation stage in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT), Mumbai has been entrusted as the Nodal
Authority for planning, coordination, standardisation and phased rollout of AVGC Content
Creator Labs (CCLs) in 15,000 secondary schools and 500 colleges.
The implementation of this initiative has been planned in a phased and structured
manner, including the development of national standards for infrastructure, technology stack,
curriculum and identification of beneficiary schools & colleges, followed by pilot
deployments and nationwide scale-up. For the year 2026-27, an allotment of Rs 250 Cr has
been made in the Budget for implementation.
