Parliament Question: Funds allocated to Odisha under AIBP

SULATA DEO: Will the Minister of Jal Shakti be pleased to state: (a) whether funds have been allocated to the State of Odisha under the Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) during the last five years; and (b) if so, the details thereof, year-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR JAL SHAKTI (SHRI RAJ BHUSHAN CHOUDHARY) (a) & (b) Out of the 99 ongoing Major/Medium Irrigation projects (and 7 phases) identified and included under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana-Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (PMKSY-AIBP) during 2016-17, eight (08) projects were included from Odisha with eligible central assistance of Rs. 1442.85 Crore. A total Central Assistance of Rs. 1208.86 Crore has been provided for these projects under PMKSY-AIBP, out of which central assistance of Rs. 76.39 Crore provided during the last five years.
