SHRI HANUMAN BENIWAL: Will the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs be pleased to state: (a) the total budget allocated to Rajasthan under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 and the details of the funds released therefrom, district-wise; (b) the comparative details of physical progress made in line with the targets under the said Mission in the districts of Nagaur Lok Sabha Constituency including Nagaur and Didwana- Kuchaman and other districts of the said State, district-wise; (c) whether the Union Government has established any monitoring mechanism to ensure effective implementation and quality of works under such urban development schemes; and (d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a): Under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0, ₹3,552 crore has been allocated as Central share for implementation of projects in the State of Rajasthan. An amount of ₹745.45 crore has been released/ sanctioned to the State so far for AMRUT 2.0 projects. Under AMRUT 2.0, Central funds for projects are released to the States/ Union Territories (UTs) and not district-wise. (b): In Nagaur Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency, 13 towns are covered under AMRUT 2.0 in which 17 projects worth ₹211.82 crore have been approved. 5 projects worth ₹64.26 crore have been awarded and works worth ₹34.91 crore have been physically completed. District-wise physical progress of the awarded projects as reported by the State on AMRUT 2.0 portal, is at Annexure. …2/--2- (c) & (d): AMRUT guidelines provides for formation of State High Powered Steering Committee (SHPSC) headed by the Chief Secretary of the State, to monitor and supervise implementation of the scheme at the State/ UT level. State Level Technical Committee (SLTC) headed by the Secretary, Urban Development & Housing Department provides technical support to the SHPSC in monitoring and supervising the scheme at the State level. Further, an Apex Committee constituted under the ambit of Mission guidelines reviews and monitor the Mission periodically. For assessment and monitoring of work done under AMRUT 2.0 in the States/ UTs, there is a provision of Independent Review and Monitoring Agencies (IRMAs). Also, in order to fast-track the implementation of projects, progress is periodically reviewed & monitored through regular video conferences/ webinars/ workshops/ site-visits etc. by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) with the States/ Union Territories.
