Regarding Eco-Sensitive Zones, a draft notification for the ESZ around Kotagarh Wildlife Sanctuary in Kandhamal, issued on October 25, 2017, by MoEFCC, lapsed on April 25, 2019. No fresh proposal has been received from the State Government.
Finally, the State Government has reported that no project has been undertaken under the National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change (NAFCC) to mitigate landslide risk in the Gumadi river catchment area in Kandhamal.

(a) to (c) The amount of Compensatory Afforestation fund approved by National Authority
CAMPA to State Authority Odisha for utilisation under APO 2024-25 is Rs. 1112.92 Crore.
Further Rs. 984.84 Crore has been approved for utilisation under APO 2025-26. The funds

The Eco-Sensitive Zone around Kotagarh Wildlife Sanctuary is in the district of Kandhamal.
A draft notification for the ESZ was issued on 25.10.2017 by MoEF&CC lapsed on 25.04.2019,
and no fresh proposal has been received from the State Government.
As per the information provided by the State Government, no such project has been undertaken
under National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change (NAFCC) to mitigate landslide risk in the
Gumadi river catchment area in Kandhamal.
