(b) Toll collection has commenced on November 27, 2025, at the Pongalur toll plaza on the completed 4-lane Palladam-Kurukkathi section of NH-81.
(c) DPR preparation is underway for the Vellakoil-Sankari section of National Highway (NH)-381A. The alignment has been approved, and land acquisition has begun. The project's implementation will be based on the DPR outcome, traffic density, and synergy with the PM Gati-shakti master plan.

(a) The work for the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for
the project between Karur and Coimbatore has been taken up. The decision
of the project implementation will be taken based on the outcome of DPR,
traffic density and synergy with PM Gati-shakti master plan.
(b) The toll collection has been started at Pongalur toll plaza with effect
from 27.11.2025 on the completed 4-lane Palladam-Kurukkathi section of
NH-81.
(c) The work of preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) of
the Vellakoil-Sankari section of National Highway (NH)-381A has been taken
up. Alignment of this stretch has been approved and the land acquisition
process has been initiated. The project will be implemented based on the
outcome of DPR, traffic density and synergy with PM Gati-shakti master
plan.
