SHRI M K RAGHAVAN: Will the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs be pleased to state: a) whether the Government has noticed delays in the redressal of grievances under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, since the Appellate Authority of the grievance redressal mechanism is headed by the Local Self Governments (LSGs) themselves and if so, the details thereof; and (b) whether the Government is planning to amend Appellate Authority provision of grievance redressal mechanism by replacing the LSGs with the High Courts of the States concerned and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 was notified by the Govt of India.
