Parliament Question: Honorarium to youth engaged under NAM

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 1928 TO BE ANSWERED ON 10.03.2026 Honorarium to youth engaged under NAM 1928 Shri Sant Balbir Singh: Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state: (a) the details of the honorarium being paid to youth engaged under the National Ayush Mission (NAM), State/UT-wise; (b) whether the honorarium is uniform across all States/UTs, if not, the details of variation in rates along with reasons for such variation; (c) the norms/guidelines issued by the Ministry regarding fixation of honorarium and whether States have flexibility in determining the same; and (d) whether the Union Government provides any fixed share towards honorarium or leaves it entirely to the States under the approved Programme Implementation Plans (PIPs)? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (d) Ministry of Ayush is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM) through State/UT Governments and supporting their efforts for implementation of different activities/programmes by providing financial assistance as per the proposals received in their State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) including support for deployment manpower within the existing provisions of NAM guidelines. Since, implementation of NAM Scheme comes under purview of respective State/UT Governments, deployment of manpower and fixation of their remuneration/honorarium also lies with respective States/UTs.
