to scale and find potential buyers outside India with the aim of promoting exports,
manufacturing and services industry in the District.

Institutional mechanisms in the form of State Export Promotion Committees (SEPCs)
at the State/UT level and District Export Promotion Committees (DEPCs) at the district level
have been constituted in all states, including Andhra Pradesh, to facilitate export promotion
and address bottlenecks affecting export growth. Other steps include organizing Outreach
Events across various regions to build awareness and address exporters' concerns.
This initiative is intended to raise awareness and commitment to exports at the district level,
build capacity to create new exporters, identify new markets and provide information on
quality & certification requirements for the targeted products and services. This support
empowers MSMEs, farmers and small-scale industries to benefit from export opportunities in
the overseas markets. The decentralised and focused approach of the initiative is meant to
focus on district-led export growth for self-sufficiency and self-reliance.
1The District Export Action Plans (DEAPs) prepared by District Export Promotion
Committees (DEPCs), identify the specific support required by local industries to enhance
manufacturing and boost exports of goods and services, with a focus on facilitating the entire
value chain—from production to export. These plans map infrastructural gaps and propose
targeted interventions to promote the export of identified products and services from each
district. Each DEAP is deliberated in detail by the District Export Promotion Committee
(DEPC) in consultation with relevant stakeholders before being formally adopted at the
district level.
