GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 740 ANSWERED ON 23RD JULY, 2026 IMPACT OF ALIGNMENT OF GREENFIELD EXPRESSWAY TO DAUSA DISTRICT 740. SHRI MURARI LAL MEENA: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is aware that the survey/alignment of the proposed Greenfield Expressway (Bharatpur-Beawar) in the Lalsot and Bamanwas tehsils of Dausa district in Rajasthan may impact the catchment areas of the Binori Sagar and Dakshin Sagar dams regarding which objections and memorandums have been submitted by local public representatives and gram panchayats and if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the Government has got any technical study conducted regarding the potential environmental, social and water resource impacts of the proposed alignment and if so, the key findings thereof; (c) whether the Government proposes to consider an alternative alignment keeping in view the water holding capacity of the said dams, the drinking water needs of about five lakh people and livestock and the likely impact on the ERCP project; and (d) if so, the action taken in this regard till date? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI) (a) No such proposal for development of Bharatpur-Beawar Greenfield Expressway has been proposed by the Government.
