be pleased to state:
(a) the total number and value of projects sanctioned under the Agriculture Infrastructure
Fund (AIF) since its inception including the projects approved in the country, project-wise
and State/UT-wise including Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Dumka districts in Jharkhand,
Jammu and Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, Nandurbar district in
Maharashtra, Jalore and Sirohi districts and Pali Lok Sabha Constituency in Rajasthan and
Keonjhar Lok Sabha Constituency in Odisha;
(b) the types of infrastructure created including sectors such as warehouses, cold chains,
primary processing centres and logistics facilities and their operational status, sector and
State/UT-wise particularly Hazaribagh and Ramgarh in Jharkhand and Keonjhar in Odisha;
(c) the quantum of institutional credit sanctioned, interest subvention provided and credit
guarantee coverage extended to beneficiaries such as farmers, FPOs, cooperatives and
agri-entrepreneurs;
(d) whether the disbursement of sanctioned loans is proceeding as per schedule
including the number of sanctioned and operational projects in the country, if so, the details
thereof, State/UTwise including Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts in Jharkhand,
Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh and Keonjhar in Odisha;
(e) the challenges encountered in implementation particularly in tribal and remote
regions, such as access to finance, technical expertise or project viability concerns;
(f) the measurable outcomes in terms of reduction in post-harvest losses improved
market access and value realisation for farmers in the country, State/UT-wise particularly
Hazaribagh and Ramgarh in Jharkhand and Keonjhar in Odisha; and
(g) the details of the impact of these projects on strengthening agricultural supply chains
and reducing post-harvest losses in the country, State/UT-wise including Bulandshahr
district in Uttar Pradesh?

(a) & (b): As on 11.03.2026, for 170241 projects , ₹84502.78 crores have been
sanctioned under AIF. The details of the projects and loan amount sanctioned as on
11.03.2026 in the Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Dumka (Jharkhand), Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh),
Nandurbar (Maharashtra), Jalore, Sirohi, Pali (Rajasthan), Keonjhar (Odisha), Chhattisgarh
and Jammu & Kashmir are as under:

The State/UT wise details of projects that has been fully disbursed reflecting the
projects completed including projects in Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Keonjhar districts are
given in Annexure I. State-wise, project-wise, district-wise details of the projects and loan
amount sanctioned under AIF are available at https://agriinfra.dac.gov.in/.
(c): As on 11.03.2026, loan amounting to ₹84,502.78 crores have been sanctioned to
beneficiaries such as farmers, FPOs, cooperatives, and agri-entrepreneurs, etc., for eligible
projects. Interest subvention and credit guarantee coverage amounting to ₹1,431.44 crores
and ₹476.96 crores have also been provided to the beneficiaries, respectively.
(d): The disbursement of funds are undertaken in phases linked to project milestones and
is proceeding in accordance with the AIF guidelines and timelines. Across all States/UTs, as
on 11.03.2026, ₹62219.10 crores have been disbursed. The State-wise details including
Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts in Jharkhand, Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh and Keonjhar
in Odisha are at Annexure II.
(e): As per the findings of the third-party impact assessment study conducted by the
Indian Institute of Management (IIM), the Government has implemented the Agriculture
Infrastructure Fund (AIF) effectively across the country and has significantly expanded
access to credit and enabled investment in agricultural infrastructure. No major systemic
challenges have been reported in the implementation. However, some implementation-level
issues such as lower loan coverage vis-à-vis project cost, need for enhanced handholding,
and market-related factors like price fluctuations have been indicated by some beneficiaries.
These issues are not structural in nature and are addressed through facilitation and
handholding.(f) & (g): As per the impact assessment study conducted by IIM Ahmedabad, AIF has
led to measurable improvements in reduction of post-harvest losses, creation of additional
storage space, enhanced market access, improved value realisation for farmers, and
strengthened agricultural supply chains across States/UTs. The district-level data on impact
for any State/UT including Hazaribagh and Ramgarh (Jharkhand), Keonjhar (Odisha) and
Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh) is not maintained centrally. The key outcomes of study are as
below:
o Post-Harvest Loss Reduction: AIF interventions have resulted in an average 5 to 15%
reduction in post-harvest losses, driven by improved storage, processing, and
mechanisation systems that enhance efficiency and reduce spoilage across
commodities.
o Market Access: Improved logistics and aggregation infrastructure enhanced throughout
by 10 to 25% and enabled access to new markets. Over all, about 38% beneficiaries
reported better integration in end to end value chains. On an average, about 56% of
beneficiaries reported improved competitiveness due to better quality assurance and
market integration.
o Value Realisation: 63 % AIF beneficiaries achieved better prices through improved
storage, grading, packaging, and ability to defer sale. Reported income gains ranged
from 11 to 25 %, with highest improvements in cold-chain, composite, and processing.Annexure I
