997. Shri Kunduru Raghuveer:
Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) the details of centrally sponsored AYUSH Schemes being implemented across the country;
(b) the key initiatives taken for Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM), Yoga and Naturopathy promotion programmes (YNPP) and AYUSH Grid Digital Platform (AGDP) under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM), scheme-wise;
(c) the details of AYUSH schemes implemented in Telangana State during the last five years including the number of AYUSH hospitals, dispensaries and wellness centres established or upgraded with central assistance in this State;
(d) the total funds approved, released and spent in Telangana under various AYUSH components during 2020โ21 to 2024โ25, year-wise;
(e) whether any AYUSH medical college or research institute has been sanctioned for Telangana and if so, the details thereof; and
(f) the measures taken by the Government to expand AYUSH coverage in rural and tribal areas through integration with the National Health Mission and telemedicine initiatives? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a) Ministry of Ayush is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM) through State/UT Governments and providing financial assistance to them for overall development and promotion of Ayush System in the country. The mission inter-alia
makes provision for following activities:
(i) Operationalization of Ayush Health & Wellness Centres now renamed as Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush).(ii) Co-location of Ayush facilities including Ayurveda at Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Hospitals (DHs).
(iii) Upgradation of existing standalone Government Ayush Hospitals.
(iv) Upgradation of existing Government/Panchayat/Government aided Ayush Dispensaries/ Construction of building for existing Ayush Dispensary (Rented/dilapidated accommodation)/ Construction of building to establish new Ayush Dispensary.
(v) Setting up of 10/30/50 bedded integrated Ayush Hospitals.
(vi) Supply of essential drugs to Government Ayush Hospitals, Government Dispensaries and Government/Government aided Teaching Institutional Ayush Hospitals.
(vii) Ayush Public Health Programmes.
(viii) Establishment of new Ayush colleges including Ayurveda in the States where availability of AYUSH teaching institutions is inadequate in Government Sector.
(ix) Infrastructural development of Ayush Under-Graduate Institutions and Ayush Post-Graduate Institutions including Ayurveda / add on PG/ Pharmacy/Para-Medical Courses.
(b) Under NAM, as per the proposals received from State/UT Governments through SAAPs, 12500 Ayush Dispensaries/Sub-health centres have been approved in different parts of the country to be upgraded as Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) [AAM (Ayush)] and as reported by States/UTs all AAM (Ayush) are operational and providing holistic health care services to the community through different Ayush innervations including Yoga.
Further, the States/UTs are being supported for establishment of 10/30/50-bedded Integrated Ayush Hospitals (IAHs) which are also having the facility of Yoga and Naturopathy activities. Under NAM, as per the proposals received from States/UTs, 203 units of IAHs have been approved in different parts of the country.
Under the Ayush Grid Digital Platform, revamping of earlier version of National Ayush Mission Portal has been initiated for upgradation to latest technology along with, Ayush Hospital Management Information System (A-HMIS) for States/UTs has been developed to digitally record and manage patientโs diagnostic information across different Ayush health facilities.(c) & (d) Under NAM, as per the proposals received from State Government of Telangana, 3 units of 50-bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital have been approved for establishment and 421 units of Ayush dispensaries are upgraded as Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush). The Year-wise status of funds approved/released and spent in the Telangana during 2020-21 to 2024-25 is furnished at Annexure.
(e) Under NAM, no proposal for establishment of new Ayush Educational received by State Govt. of Telangana through SAAPs. Further, there is no provision to support research institute.
(f) To promote traditional systems of medicine and wellness in the country including rural and tribal areas, Government of India has adopted an integrated strategy of Co-location of AYUSH facilities at Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs) and District Hospitals (DHs), thus enabling the choice to the patients for different systems of medicines under a single window. AYUSH services have been allocated at 482 DHs, 3,103 CHCs, 241 health facilities other than CHC at or above block level but below district level, 6,158 PHCs and 3,109 health facilities above Sub-centre (SC) but below block level, as on 31st March, 2025.
The teleconsultation services, available at all operational AAMs across the country including rural areas, enables people to access the specialist services closer to their homes addressing concerns of physical accessibility, shortage of service providers and to facilitate continuum of care.
