GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS RAJYA SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 161 ANSWERED ON 13.02.2026 IMPLEMENTATION OF ONE STATION ONE PRODUCT SCHEME *161 SHRI ASHOKRAO SHANKARRAO CHAVAN: Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) whether One Station One Product (OSOP) initiative/scheme has emerged as powerful platform for promoting local craftsmanship, if so, the details thereof; (b) the manner in which the said scheme has been helpful in promoting grassroot entrepreneurship across the country; (c) the number of railway stations covered under the OSOP scheme and total number of OSOP outlets established so far in the country, State/UT-wise; (d) the total number of beneficiaries under OSOP since its launch in 2022; and (e) whether Government has conducted any revenue or livelihood impact assessment of the said scheme, if so, the details thereof and the outcome thereto? ANSWER MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, INFORMATION & BROADCASTING AND ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI ASHWINI VAISHNAW) (a) to (e): A Statement is laid on the Table of the House. ***** §STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (e) OF STARRED QUESTION NO. 161 BY SHRI ASHOKRAO SHANKARRAO CHAVAN ANSWERED IN RAJYA SABHA ON 13.02.2026 REGARDING IMPLEMENTATION OF ONE STATION ONE PRODUCT SCHEME (a) to (e) : ‘One Station One Product’ (OSOP) scheme has been launched by Ministry of Railways with the objective to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ vision of the Government of India, provide a market for local/indigenous product and opportunity to railway passengers to buy these products thereby experiencing the rich heritage of India. The ‘One Station One Product’ scheme envisages showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to indigenous/local products which includes artefacts, handicrafts, textiles and handlooms, toys, leather products, traditional appliances/instruments, garments, gems and jewellery, processed/semi processed food products, etc. The scheme aims to provide enhanced opportunities for livelihood to local craftsmen, artisans, potters, weavers, handloom weavers, etc., through provision of sale outlets at Railway Stations across the country. Further, it is envisaged to encourage individuals at the bottom of the pyramid, marginalised and weaker sections and self help groups under this scheme to meet the objective. As on 31.01.2026, a total of 2326 OSOP outlets were operational at 2002 stations across 29 states/UTs and a total of 73,241 direct beneficiaries have availed the opportunities under this scheme. Total sales of ₹ 142.15 crores has been registered over OSOP outlets across the period from 25.03.2022 to 31.01.2026.
