SHRI LAVU SRI KRISHNA DEVARAYALU: SHRI G M HARISH BALAYOGI: Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state: (a) the details of schools covered under the Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas (SHRESTA) in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise, under Mode-I and Mode-II; (b) the number of students (male/female/others) selected under the scheme in Andhra Pradesh, school-wise and district-wise, for Mode-I and Mode-II, during the last three years; (c) the amount of funds allocated, released and utilised for SHRESTA schools in Andhra Pradesh during the last three years, school-wise and year-wise, under Mode-I and Mode-II; (d) whether any schools in Palnadu district have been identified or recommended under the scheme by the CBSE/State Education Department, if so, the details thereof; (e) whether the Government proposes to extend the SHRESTA scheme beyond the year 2025—- 26, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and (f) whether the Government has any plans to expand the coverage of SHRESTA scheme to more SC-concentrated districts, such as Konaseema, under Mode-I and II and if so, the details thereof? (d): At present, no school in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh under SHRESHTA scheme has been identified or recommended by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE/State Education Department (SED). (e) to (f): SHRESHTA scheme in its present form has been approved for the period from 2021- 22 to 2025-26.
